Education & Experience
I will graduate from Winona State University in December 2017 with my Masters of Science in Community Counseling. I received my Bachelor of Arts from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities with a major in Psychology and minor in Family Violence and Prevention.
Since returning to La Crosse in January of 2013, I have been working with children and adolescents with emotional, behavioral and social difficulties. I have had experience working with youth in a residential setting, day treatment setting and most recently an alternative education setting.
I concentrate on building healthy and positive relationships by using a Person-Centered approach to empower, encourage and motivate my clients. I am also working towards my Circle of Security Informed Certification. Circle of Security focuses on attachment and helps caretakers learn how to interpret their child’s behavior and needs.
